Nation recognised by its historical heritage: Dr Ehsan Bhutta

LAHORE: Highlighting the vital role of culture and harmony in nation-building, Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta delivered a comprehensive lecture on the importance of culture, religious harmony, and the protection, preservation, and promotion of Pakistan’s rich history and heritage to officers of the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP) at the Civil Services Academy (CSA), Walton, Lahore. During the lecture, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta emphasized the significance of local culture, interfaith harmony, and the safeguarding and promotion of heritage buildings. He remarked that living nations are those that not only protect and preserve their rich history, culture, and heritage but also actively promote it for future generations. He also shed light on the teachings of Sufia-e-Karam and highlighted the importance of promoting local folklore and literary figures such as Waris Shah, Bulleh Shah, Shah Hussain, and Baba Farid, explaining their pivotal role in spreading tolerance, peace, and social harmony. At the end of the session, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta responded amicably to various questions raised by the probationary officers. Director Finance, Civil Services Academy, thanked Dr. Bhutta for delivering an insightful and independent lecture on a highly important subject and presented him with a souvenir on behalf of the Director General, Civil Services Academy.
