Australian Prime Minister Albanese has not responded to Netanyahu's latest comments at the time of publication but has condemned the attack as an 'act of evil antisemitism'. He also described the scenes as 'shocking and distressing' and praised police, emergency services and members of the public who intervened during the chaos. Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog condemned what he called a 'cruel attack by vile terrorists' and urged Canberra to fight against the 'enormous wave of anti-Semitism which is plaguing Australian society'.
