THE Manila Times’ President and Chief Operating Officer Blanca Mercado was among those from the Philippines cited by the Women Tabloid’s 2025 Leadership Awards. Mercado received an award for Excellence in Strategic Operations Leadership in Media and Publishing. She was among 13 other women leaders in the country named by the British-based business magazine. “Grateful and honored to be one of the Women Tabloid’s 2025 Leadership Awardees from the Philippines,” Mercado said on Facebook on Sunday. This year’s Women’s Tabloid Awards celebrates “remarkable achievements of women worldwide in various fields.” The 2025 Women’s Tabloid Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held at Shangri-La Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on Jan. 22, 2026.
