ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to disburse pay and pensions for December in advance to federal government servants and pensioners belonging to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas. According to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Finance, Christmas will be celebrated on December 25, 2025 (Thursday). In view of the occasion, the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Islamabad, has been requested to make arrangements for the advance disbursement of salaries and pensions on December 22, 2025. The directive, issued under Rule 25 (3) of the Federal Government Receipts and Payment Rules, 2025, applies to all eligible federal government employees and pensioners from the Christian community. The move is aimed at facilitating Christian employees and pensioners ahead of Christmas, enabling them to meet related expenses on time. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025
