[Leadership] A civil society group, Patriots for the Advancement of Peace and Social Development, has written to the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, urging diplomatic engagement with President Bola Tinubu to scrap the Office of the Minister of State for Defence, and remove its current holder, Hon. Bello Matawalle, in the interest of effective coordination of the Ministry of Defence.
