The Christmas coin that's now available for purchase in Canada is the latest release from the Royal Canadian Mint . According to the website, the Snowman Winter Sleigh Ride is a silver coin that's only sold in Canada. And it's not shaped like regular change. Everyone's in matching scarves in a way that makes total sense in this winter wonderland. A total of 2,500 of these coins will be available, and shipping starts on Dec. 22. The coin was produced in Switzerland and weighs 31.39 grams, and it's made with 99.99 per cent pure silver. It was issued for the Solomon Islands and has a face value of SI$2 (equivalent to around 34 cents in Canada). The Mint also has several holiday-themed coins that you can buy online, such as the Dear Santa silver glow-in-the-dark coin, which features old St. Nick checking his mail in the North Pole.
