Comedian Park Na-rae said Tuesday legal procedures are underway regarding allegations of workplace abuse and illegal medical treatment raised against her, in her first official statement since suspending her broadcasting activities eight days ago. Appearing on a YouTube channel, Park said she was "taking legal steps" to "calmly establish the facts of the allegations." She expressed regret over the controversy and concern about potential harm to the TV shows and colleagues involved. "I feel heavy-hearted for causing many people concerns and stress because of the recent issues" the 40-year-old said, adding "I won't be making any further comments or explanations during this process, as I believe these matters should be handled objectively through due process, not through personal emotions or relationships."
