"The United Arab Emirates and India reaffirmed their expanding strategic partnership on Monday as UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar co-chaired the 16th session of the Joint Committee and Strategic Dialogue in Abu Dhabi. Footage shows the two ministers shaking hands before leading the committee meeting in the presence of senior officials from both sides, followed by the signing of the official minutes of the session. According to the UAE’s state news agency WAM, the discussions reviewed progress under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which both sides said has played a key role in advancing bilateral trade towards a shared target of USD 100 billion. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the rapid momentum in relations between the two countries, stressing that: “The Joint Committee and Strategic Dialogue serve as an effective platform to translate the directives of our two countries’ leadership into practical outcomes that support the path of shared prosperity.” In a separate statement released on Tuesday, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said the meeting provided: “An opportunity for a comprehensive review of all aspects of bilateral relations, including cooperation in trade, investment, energy, connectivity, defence, security, development partnership, technology, health, culture, education, and people-to-people ties."
