Zelensky: No peace plan that rewards Russian aggression

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his country will not accept any deal that rewards Russian aggression, as the United States is offering Nato-style defence guarantees in the latest proposal to end the war. The announcement followed days of talks in Berlin involving US and European officials and a delegation from Kyiv. President Donald Trump said the US “is closer to peace than ever” and described the security package as a “platinum standard” which would protect Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.
