Over 438 personnel from Central Armed Police Forces, Assam Rifles, and National Security Guard died by suicide in the last three years. Seven fratricides were also reported. The Central Reserve Police Force saw the highest number of suicides. Thousands also resigned from service between 2014 and 2025. The government is providing leave and mental health support.
