The Tamil Nadu government has cleared AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami of corruption charges. Allegations concerned the construction of 11 medical colleges during his chief ministership. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption found no prima facie case. The Madras High Court was informed of the findings. The court will hear further arguments after the Christmas vacation.
