ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday initiated proceedings to declare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and two provincial ministers as proclaimed offenders in a case related to the November 26 protest, due to their continued non-appearance before the court. ATC judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain, while hearing the case, started the process of declaring Afridi, provincial minister for local government, elections & rural development department, Meena Khan Afridi, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations, ShafiUllah Jan, and MNA Iqbal Afridi in a case registered at Ramna Police Station. The same court on December 4 initiated the process of declaring Afridi and other leaders as proclaimed offenders in another case registered at Noon Police Station in connection with the November 26 protest. The court ordered that notices be pasted outside the residences of the accused to inform them of the proclamation proceedings.
