E-cigarettes banned under law; no NCB cases of drug-laced vapes: Nityanand Rai in Rajya Sabha

Electronic cigarettes remain banned in India. The government informed Parliament that no cases of e-cigarettes containing narcotic substances have been investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019, prohibits their production, sale, and advertisement. States and Union Territories enforce this law. Agencies are strengthening screening at airports and ports to curb smuggling.
