Palestinians salvage their possessions before home demolitions in West Bank Dozens of displaced residents returned to the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, the occupied West Bank, to retrieve their belongings before Israeli forces carry out the demolition of 25 residential buildings. As observable from satellite imagery, nearly half of all buildings in the camp, 48 per cent, have already been destroyed by Israeli forces. AFP reported that under Israeli army monitoring, Palestinians salvaged items ranging from furniture and toys to water tanks and family photos. Troops only permitted those whose homes were slated for demolition to enter after ID checks and searches. UNRWA reports over 32,000 people remain displaced from the now-empty, military-occupied camps.
