Watching your child get married is moving for any parent, even if it's the second time around. That certainly was the case for It's Showtime host Ogie Alcasid, who recently penned a loving message on the occasion of his daughter's second wedding. In one of the more recent posts on his official Instagram account, Ogie wrote down seven tips for his daughter Leila Alcasid and her husband Mito Fabie, also known as “CurtisSmith”. The couple recently held a second wedding ceremony here in the Philippines after getting married in Australia back in May. Ogie's first advice to the couple was to go ahead and make mistakes, as that is how people learn in life. He also told them to not be afraid to fail or to lose as this is how one wins in life, as well as not be afraid of what life may bring them as they are each other's perfect partners to weather the storm. He also advised the pair to march on in the face of insurmountable circumstances since life is “really about peaks and valleys and this is what makes life exciting.” He also called on them to continue fighting for their love especially during the times where they can't stand each other as it will all be worth it. Finally, he asked them to not be afraid to forgive one another and ask for forgiveness as it is the secret to a great marriage, and that the best is yet to come. Leila and CurtisSmith's first wedding ceremony in Sydney came after their engagement in September 2024. The couple have been in a relationship for five years at that point.
