MANILA, Philippines — A total of 79,696 of 122,528 teacher applicants passed the licensure exams, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday. Of the total, the PRC said 21,967 of 43,035 or 51.04 percent were in elementary while 57,729 of 79,493 or 72.62 percent were in the secondary level. Results were announced 54 days from the final date of examinations, which were held last September and November.
