Police undergo program to strengthen character, integrity

MANILA, Philippines — A holistic development, spiritual guidance and interfaith collaboration are very important for the strengthening and enrichment of the character and integrity of police personnel. This was the goal of the recently concluded Convergence of Interfaith Leaders and Life Coaches and the Culmination of the Specialized Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (SWIM) at the United Evangelical Church of Greenhills in San Juan City, which was initiated by the Eastern Police District (EPD) under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante. A total of 65 EPD personnel from District Headquarters (DHQ), PaMaMariSan CPS, and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) actively participated in the activity. They underwent the program for almost two months, which started in October, focusing on personal development, values formation, and spiritual enrichment. The activity was organized through the facilitation of the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD) and the Office of the District Executive Senior Police Officer (ODESPO), in partnership with Bless Our Cops (BOC) of PaMaMariSan. Highlights included heartfelt testimonies from the participants and the presentation of a three-minute Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) titled Narrative of Experience in Relation to the Council of Interfaith, presented by four police personnel. Mission and Vision of Bless Our Cops (BOC) were discussed during the program and conveyed their message of support for the plans and activities of the PNP.
