Marcos: Arrest warrants out for Sarah Discaya, 9 others over Davao Occidental flood project

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday announced that the court has issued warrants of arrest against contractor Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya and nine other individuals linked to the P96.5 million ghost flood control project in Davao Occidental. In a video message, Marcos said the accused were facing graft and malversation charges, stressing that the cases were non-bailable. Marcos also announced that eight more officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways have expressed their willingness to surrender. "We will continue to do this and this is just the beginning and we will continue to investigate and prosecute all those involved in the flood control scandal," he said.
