Winter Session 2025: The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Bill was approved in the Parliament on Thursday. It marks a major step in opening the nuclear industry to private players, to help the country achieve 100 gigawatts (GW) of nuclear power capacity by 2047.
