'They're being treated like terrorists!' - Pro-Palestine activists rally in London in solidarity with jailed hunger strikers

"Hundreds of people joined a protest in support of jailed pro-Palestine activists on hunger strike in London on Wednesday. Footage shows protesters rallying outside Westminster Abbey and the UK Ministry of Justice. Many carried Palestinian flags and signs with messages such as 'Support the hunger strike' and 'Free our political prisoners', among others.  "We are here today to stand in solidarity with the prisoners who have been unjustly left without medical aid for many days, hunger strikers who are being treated as if they are terrorists, when in fact, all they are really involved in is property damage," one of the protesters stated. "There's one of them on a prison floor at the moment, and they won't let the ambulance in. They haven't called one. People are desperate to get them some medical treatment," another added. Some of the demonstrators called on the British government to intervene and ensure that "the conditions the prisoners are held under are addressed." "They are frightened of what's going to happen. But they're going to be even more frightened if this hunger, these hunger strikes go on," a protester commented. A heightened police presence can also be seen in the area, as five people were reportedly detained that day. Six out of eight detainees awaiting trial for alleged offences relating to Palestine Action continue to remain on a hunger strike. One of the longest-protesting members of the group, Qesser Zuhrah, was hospitalised on Wednesday after being on strike for 46 days. Several others have also been previously hospitalised but were later discharged."
