Ursid meteor shower: When and how to see the final meteor shower of the year

The Ursid meteor shower, the last significant celestial event of the year, peaks Sunday night into Monday morning and continues to be visible until December 26. While more subdued than other meteor showers, the Ursids provide a beautiful display of streaking lights across winter skies. Skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere can anticipate five to ten meteors per hour, with occasional bursts up to 25.
