Sri Lankan shares fall, post weekly drop

Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Friday, mainly dragged by losses in industrial stocks. The CSE All Share index fell 0.64% to 22,149.09, taking weekly losses to 1.6%. Colombo Dockyard and Kerner Haus Global Solutions were the top two percentage losers on the CSE All Share, falling 25% and 13.5%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 75.1 million shares from 57.1 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover jumped to 3.45 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($11.2 million) from 2.34 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 92 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 3.40 billion rupees, the data showed.
