Voting is underway across Maharashtra for president and member posts in 23 municipal councils and nagar panchayats, alongside 143 vacant member positions. Counting for all these local body elections, including those from December 2, is scheduled for December 21. The polls feature contests between ruling alliance partners and also highlight battles between the Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi.
