Khasi, Garo made mandatory in early classes as Meghalaya clears new curriculum

Meghalaya has mandated Khasi and Garo language inclusion in the curriculum up to Class-1 to foster cultural identity and simplify learning. The state cabinet also approved revised pay for teachers, a five-year HIV/AIDS project, and mandatory green building certification for large constructions. Additionally, a new cooperative society and a National Games Secretariat were approved.
