MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) appealed to motorists who passed through Kennon Road in Tuba, Benguet on Dec. 18, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. to share any available dashcam footage to aid the investigation into the death of former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral. In a statement issued on Saturday, the NBI said it was particularly seeking video recordings taken in the area of Sitio Maramal, Camp 5, Barangay 4 in Tuba, which investigators considered relevant to establishing the circumstances surrounding Cabral’s death. The agency assured the public that all information and footage submitted would be treated as confidential and used solely for legal and investigative purposes.
