New recruitment rules for Border Security Force constables are now in effect. Half of all vacancies will be reserved for former Agniveers. Candidates from the first Agniveer batch get an age relaxation of up to five years. Later batches receive a three-year relaxation. This change significantly expands opportunities for ex-Agniveers in the BSF. Recruitment will occur in two phases.
