ESUP hosts ambassador of Lebanon

KARACHI: The English Speaking Union of Pakistan (ESUP) was honored to host His Excellency Abdul Aziz Issa, Ambassador of Lebanon to Pakistan, as a distinguished guest speaker at a recent event. The Ambassador’s visit underscored the strong and cordial relations between Lebanon and Pakistan, highlighting opportunities for enhanced cooperation in various fields. During his enlightening address, Ambassador Issa shared valuable insights into Lebanon’s rich cultural heritage, history, and current developments. He emphasized the significance of people-to-people connections in fostering stronger ties between nations and expressed optimism about the potential for increased collaboration between Lebanon and Pakistan in areas such as education, culture, trade, and tourism. The event, attended by ESUP members, academics, and dignitaries, provided a platform for engaging discussions and exchange of ideas. Ambassador Issa graciously responded to questions, shedding light on Lebanon’s experiences and perspectives on regional and global issues. The interactive session demonstrated the keen interest of Pakistani academics and professionals in Lebanon’s development and cultural richness. Aziz Memon, Patron-in-Chief, highlighted ESUP’s events and the recent visit to the Patron Dinner in London organized by ESU Commonwealth. Pervez Madraswala, President of ESUP, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Issa for sharing his expertise and vision for enhanced bilateral relations. “We are grateful to H.E. Ambassador Issa for inspiring us with his thought-provoking words and for reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan,” he said. Irfan Qureshi, Senior Vice President, and Majyd Aziz, Secretary General, also shared their perspectives on the occasion. Hon. Consul General of Lebanon, Najeeb Baig, was also present.
