David Harbour and Lily Allen at the 2022 Olivier Awards Lily Allen has shared that her two teenage daughters are still in touch with her ex-husband, David Harbour . Back in October, Lily made headlines with the release of her new album West End Girl , which she has described as a work of “autofiction” heavily inspired by the breakdown of her marriage to the Stranger Things actor. During a new interview with The Observer reflecting on the success of her latest release, the Brit Award winner was asked about the break-up, and whether her two children are still in touch with their former stepfather. “I stay out of it,” she admitted, but pointed out that “they’ve both got phones” and that they “all text each other”. Lily shares two daughters, Ethel and Marnie, with her first husband, to whom she was married between 2011 and 2018. She and David then tied the knot in 2020, before eventually parting ways at the end of last year . Elsewhere in her Observer interview, Lily said that her latest split has taught her that there are no “baddies and goodies in a marriage”. “Having done things that were not very nice in my first marriage, I have a better idea now of the pain I may have inflicted,” she revealed. “I’ve learned how horrible it is to be on the receiving end of that.” The Smile singer went on to say that she’s not ruling out getting married for a third time, claiming: “I’d like to say I’d never do it again, but I do like it. Everything but the institution of it, you know? “I like being chosen. I like jewellery. I like getting dressed up. I like celebrating. I don’t like talking about money. I like my independence. But I don’t like divorce.” Following the huge success of her West End Girl album, Lily is heading on a world tour in 2026 that will begin with a series of smaller-scale theatre-sized shows around the UK, before taking it to arenas.
