MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday said it has already filed formal charges against businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang amid his alleged involvement in the case of the missing sabungeros (or cockfighting aficionados). According to DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez in a message to reporters, Ang and his 21 co-accused were charged with kidnapping with homicide, as well as kidnapping and serious illegal detention. “The Information/s for the cases against Atong Ang were formally filed last Friday, 19 December 2025,” said Martinez.
