"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov participated in photo-ops ahead of a plenary session of the Second Ministerial Conference of Russia-Africa Partnership Forum in Cairo on Saturday. Footage shows the participants lining up in front of journalists and posing for joint photographs. The video also features Lavrov talking with Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty and shaking hands with other officials present at the event. Earlier, the Russian foreign minister held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Lavrov arrived in Cairo to attend the Second Ministerial Conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum, scheduled for December 19 and 20. The event is bringing together foreign ministers from African countries, along with heads of executive bodies from continental integration organisations. According to Russia's Foreign Ministry, participants will discuss key international and bilateral issues, as well as the implementation of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum Action Plan for 2023–2026, which was approved at the St Petersburg summit. The agenda also includes strengthening co-operation in trade, economic relations, investment, and other areas of partnership between Russia and African states."
