"During the solemn ceremony in Moscow on Saturday, Tara Reade, a former assistant to ex-US President Joe Biden who previously changed her name to Alexandra Tara McCabe, has received a Russian passport. "I am very proud to now be Russian. In the West, there is in film and in television, making Russia the enemy and calling them that, but I can tell you as an American, in the story of my life, Russia is the hero," said the former US Senate aide. Tara Reade also expressed her gratitude to the Russian people for their support and her desire to be of use to the country. In September, she officially acquired Russian citizenship. In 2023, the American woman left the United States and applied for asylum in Russia, citing persecution and a lack of support back home. Back in spring 2020, during the election campaign, Reade filed a police report in Washington about an incident of violence involving a senator. She later stated that neither the media nor Democratic Party representatives paid proper attention to her claims."
