Ten people were evacuated after a landslip caused a 50-metre-long sinkhole that breached a canal in Whitchurch, Shropshire, western England, near the Welsh border. The collapse occurred overnight along the Llangollen Canal in the Chemistry area of Whitchurch, with several narrowboats falling into the sinkhole. No injuries were reported.
