No holiday furlough for Discaya, ex-DPWH engineers — Lacson

MANILA, Philippines — The holiday furlough requested by contractor Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya and three former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) engineers detained in relation to the flood control scandal has been denied, Sen. Panfilo Lacson said. Lacson in a statement on Tuesday said he has issued this recommendation because of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s pronouncements that arrest orders will be issued soon against the Discaya, and former Bulacan district engineering office officials Brice Hernandez, Jaypee Mendoza and Henry Alcantara.
