Don Jr Comes Right Out And Says 'This Isn't The Republican Party Anymore'

Donald Trump Jr. speaks on stage during Turning Point's annual AmericaFest conference in Phoenix, Arizona on December 21, 2025. Donald Trump Jr. is crediting his father, President Donald Trump, with a complete rebrand of the Republican Party. Appearing at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference on Sunday, Don Jr. blasted GOP critics of his father ― who he deemed “Republicans In Name Only,” or RINOs ― while suggesting the party rename itself after one of the president’s signature phrases. “Midterms are coming around the corner, and make no mistake, the Democrat Party wants to do whatever they possibly can to shut this movement down,” he said. “Not just the Democrats. The RINOs.” He went on to note: “You see the manufactured attacks on JD [Vance], myself, my father — anyone who understands that this isn’t the Republican Party anymore. It’s the ‘America First’ Party. It’s the ‘Make America Great Again’ Party. And we are not going back!” Watch a clip of Donald Trump Jr.’s AmericaFest speech, via Forbes, below. When the room erupted into applause, Don Jr. suggested that anyone with a less-than-enthusiastic response to his comments likely wasn’t a Republican. “By the way, if someone wasn’t chanting ‘USA’ next to you, you know they’re a Democrat plant, because they just can’t do it,” he said. “It’s like pouring holy water on a vampire.” Elsewhere in his speech, Don Jr. made an onstage phone call to the president, who took an awkward dig at his son that harkened back to his “Apprentice” days. “I hope my son’s doing a good job representing me ― otherwise, I’ll have to say ‘You’re fired, Don. You’re fired,’” he told the crowd over speakerphone. This year’s AmericaFest conference took place in Phoenix, Arizona, and was the first to be held since the September assassination of Turning Point’s founder, Charlie Kirk. The event was intended to pay tribute to Kirk and drew more than 30,000 attendees, according to The Washington Post . Speakers included Kirk’s widow, Erika, along with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro. Rapper Nicki Minaj , who has signaled support for Trump’s policies in recent months, made a surprise appearance in which she praised the “handsome” and “dashing” president while denouncing California Gov. Gavin Newsom , thought to be a front-runner for the 2028 Democratic ticket. Many of the speeches, however, highlighted many of the recent rifts in the MAGA movement. During a speech last week, Shapiro called Kelly out for her defense of Carlson and accused her of “cowardice” for not condemning podcaster Candace Owens, who has peddled conspiracy theories around Kirk’s death. Though not in direct response to Shapiro’s comments, Kelly had previously suggested her critics have “no fucking clue what’s going on” behind the scenes between her, Kirk and Owens. Related...
