MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather with chances of rain showers is forecast in most parts of the country, including Metro Manila, on Christmas Eve, December 24, the state weather bureau said. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the chances of rain showers for this Wednesday are due to the continued effect of the northeast monsoon—locally known as amihan—and easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
