ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has generated Rs 14.809 billion from the auction of residential and commercial plots in Islamabad during the first two days of an ongoing auction at the Jinnah Convention Centre, officials said on Tuesday. According to CDA officials, the auction proceedings continued for the second consecutive day under the supervision of Auction Committee Chairman and Member Finance Tahir Naeem, along with other committee members. On the second day alone, plots worth Rs 1.28 billion were sold. Details shared by the authority show that a plot in Sector D-12 Markaz (Plot No. 12) was auctioned for Rs 1.04 billion, while Plot No. A-284 in Sector F-10/3 fetched Rs 246 million. On the first day of the auction, major transactions included Blue Area Plot No. 15 (F-8/G-8) sold for Rs 3.52 billion, and Blue Area Plot No. 17 (F-8/G-8) auctioned for Rs 9.15 billion. In addition, Orchard Scheme, Murree Road, plots C-37 and D-37 were sold for Rs 422 million and Rs 420 million, respectively. The auction of residential and commercial plots will continue until December 24 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, with multiple categories of plots being offered for investment. The CDA has also announced several investor-friendly incentives, including a 5 percent discount on commercial plots for payments made in US dollars, and an additional 5 percent rebate for lump-sum payments within 30 days of bid approval.
