Leviste tells mom Sen. Legarda: Release all Cabral files if somehting happens to me

MANILA, Philippines - Batangas First District Rep. Leandro Leviste told his mother, Sen. Loren Legarda, to release all files of the late Department of Public Works and Highways undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral if ever anything would happen to him. His warning comes after Leviste shared on Facebook the list of insertions all House lawmakers received in the 2025 General Appropriations Act that he said came from Cabral's computer. "Pinaalala ko sa aking ina ang aking bilin sa iba't ibang mga tao: kung may mangyari sa akin, isapubliko ang lahat ng files na iniwan ko at tapusin ang ating sinimulang pagbabahagi ng impormasyon (I reminded my mother what I told to other people: If something happens to me, publicize all the files that I left and continue the sharing of information)," Leviste said in his Facebook page on Wednesday night. Leviste posted a list where he highlighted the allocations per lawmaker of DPWH projects amounting to P1.041 trillion in the 2025 budget. He stressed that under the 2025 National Expenditure Program, the DPWH's budget was at P401.816 billion, but there were additional "allocable" funds per lawmaker amounting to P356.180 billion and P732.619 billion of "outside allocable" funds or projects that were not initiated by the district lawmaker himself. "Ang mga budget na ito ay ginagamit ng DPWH para sa mga proyekto, at hindi po para sa proponent (These budgets were used by the DPWH for projects and not for the proponents themselves)," Leviste said.
