With 2025 coming to an end, nature lovers and camping enthusiasts can start gearing up for their 2026 outdoor adventures in Ontario's numerous national parks. Parks Canada has officially announced opening dates for reservations for major parks across the province. The list is still a work in progress, with many reservation windows yet to be confirmed, but the current roster gives Toronto residents a head start on planning their 2026 escapades. Some may also be happy to know that the Canada Strong Pass has returned for the season. This means that guests can enjoy free admission as well as 25 per cent off on camping and overnight bookings with Parks Canada from Dec. 12 to Jan. 15, 2026, and Jun. 19, 2026, to Sept. 7, 2026. So, for anyone ready to book a stay, here's when Parks Canada will open 2026 reservations for sites in Ontario. Bruce Peninsula National Park Bookings for Cyprus Lake, Backcountry Camping (Bruce Trail), and Reservable Parking (Grotto and Halfway Log Dump) open Feb. 2, 2026, at 8 a.m. Location: 120 Chi sin tib dek Rd., Tobermory, Ont. Fathom Five National Marine Park Reservations for Flowerpot Island open Feb. 2, 2026, at 8 a.m. Location: 121 Chi sin tib dek Rd., Tobermory, Ont. Georgian Bay Islands National Park Reservations for Cedar Spring, Christian Beach, Backcountry Camping (Tonch North and Honeymoon Bay), and Reservable Boat Seats (DayTripper) open Feb. 2, 2026, at 8 a.m. Visitors may want to note that the park has added additional entrance fees, which will be applicable starting in the summer of 2026, with adult admission priced at $6.50.
