No one left out - Vulnerable families and people with disabilities share Christmas meal in front of Congress in Buenos Aires

"Around 5,000 homeless people and vulnerable families gathered on Wednesday in front of Congress to enjoy a Christmas dinner under the slogan 'No family without Christmas.' Footage filmed on Wednesday shows entire families, adults, and young people - some of them homeless or with disabilities - sitting at hundreds of tables, sharing meals provided by volunteers from the Movement of Excluded Workers. "I came here because I have nowhere else to go for a meal, and I cannot afford one on my own. I am very happy to be here because what is happening is truly wonderful," said a person with a disability who also expressed his rejection of the government of President Javier Milei: "This president, for me, is good for nothing." "We are here because we don't have the means to buy anything for Christmas. Another reason is that if I don't bring the children here, we end up sleeping at an ATM - or moving from one ATM to another across the city of Buenos Aires," shared another dinner participant. Launched nine years ago to fight social exclusion on Christmas Eve, the initiative was created to support homeless people and vulnerable families through community kitchens, turning Plaza de los Dos Congresos in Buenos Aires into a large communal gathering space."
