Pope Leo XIV is to deliver his first Christmas “Urbi et Orbi” blessing from Vatican City on Thursday, at the end of a year overshadowed by conflict around the world. The year ends with sources of hope for the Christian community, which celebrated its first festive Christmas in Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, since the start of the war in Gaza.
