Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), on Wednesday attended Christmas celebrations at Christ Church, Rawalpindi, and joined the Christian community in commemorating the occasion. According to ISPR, the Field Marshal extended heartfelt Christmas greetings and conveyed his best wishes for peace, harmony and prosperity to the Christian community. Paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he highlighted the Founder’s vision of equality, freedom and religious tolerance, stressing that the protection of minority rights remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s ideology. The Field Marshal reaffirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ commitment to safeguarding the dignity, security and equal rights of all citizens as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan. Christian community leaders expressed gratitude for the visit, appreciating the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the protection of the homeland, promotion of inclusivity, religious harmony and national unity.
