MTRCB chief urges Filipinos to support MMFF 2025 entries

MANILA, Philippines — Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairman and CEO Lala Sotto encouraged Filipinos to watch and support the entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 beginning Dec. 25, 2025. Sotto then advised the Filipino public, particularly parents and guardians, to use the MTRCB classification ratings as guide in choosing films that are appropriate for family viewing. She likewise urged them to celebrate Filipino creativity by watching the eight films featured in this year’s festival. “This Christmas, I am inviting everyone to take time and watch the movies that are part of the 2025 MMFF,” the MTRCB chief said in a video message released on Christmas Day. The MTRCB said this year’s entries were family-friendly, with the majority earning G (General Audience) and PG (Parental Guidance) ratings, indicating suitability for children accompanied by parents or guardians. The 2025 MMFF entries are: 1. “I’m Perfect” – Rated G, suitable for viewers of all ages 2. “Bar Boys: After School” – PG, suitable for viewers aged 13 or below and accompanied by their parents or guardian 3.“Call Me Mother” – PG 4. “Love You So Bad” – PG 5.“Manila’s Finest” – PG 6.“Rekonek” – PG 7. “Unmarry” – PG 8. “Shake, Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins” – R-13, for viewers aged 13 and above. The 51st MMFF showcases diverse stories that reflect the creativity and talent of the local film industry, the MTRCB said.
