"Nigerian professional wig maker Helen Williams has taken the craft of creating jaw-dropping hairpieces to unprecedented heights, transforming strands of hair into artistic creations that make history. Williams recently set a new world record for the tallest wig at 15.37 metres, after previously achieving records for the longest handmade wig at over 351 metres and the widest wig at 3.65 metres. Footage captured in Abuja on Tuesday shows Helen and her staff sewing long wigs in her workshop, trying on the widest wig, and displaying her Guinness World Records certificates. "I am a six-time Guinness World Record holder. I created the world's longest hair extension streak, as well as the widest and tallest wigs," said Williams. She emphasised that the creations come with challenges, but noted that the accomplishments have enhanced her professional profile and opened the door to new collaborations. "Since setting these records, more companies want to partner with us for production," she added. "I feel like record-breaking is now part of me. I could wake up any day and decide to break a record because it has become much easier for me to excel in my field." Known as the 'Wig Queen of Nigeria', Williams has risen to national prominence through her record-breaking artistry, with her creations reflecting elite skill and distinctive design."
