Rome's public transport system follows reduced schedule on main holiday dates over 2025 Christmas season.  24 December. Christmas Eve. All of Rome's subways, buses and trams will run until 21.00, with night buses following normal weekday timetable. 25 December. Christmas Day. Buses, metro and trams run from 08.30-13.00 and 16.30-21.00. Night buses follow usual weekday timetable. 26 December. St Stephen's Day. Buses and trams run according to normal Sunday/festivo timetable. Metro until 01.30. Night buses follow weekend timetable. 31 Dec. New Year's Eve. Buses and trams until 21.00. 12 buses* serving key metro stations will run until 02.30. Subways run until 02.30 at night (early hours of 1 Jan), after which night buses run until 08.00. *H, 2, 128, 170, 200, 280, 301, 336, 544, 766, 881, 905. 1 Jan 2026.
