This is not the natural order of things. You left because you were Jewish, even though you were open to all communities, to all social backgrounds," said his mother, Annie. “I love you so much. More than I can say. Thank you for the adventure. Now go leave your next one," added Elkayim's girlfriend, Krystal Troyano. Dan Elkayim, an information technology engineer, was among 15 people killed when two gunmen opened fire on a gathering at Sydney’s Bondi Beach during a Jewish Hanukkah celebration on December 14. On the same day, French President Emmanuel Macron posted a message of condolence on X, expressing “the full solidarity of the French nation” with Elkayim's family."
