The Special Investigating Unit has announced a probe into four vaccine research procurement contracts following allegations of serious maladministration and improper conduct in the affairs of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Technology Innovation Agency, the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. The unit will also be expanding the scope of its ongoing investigation into South African Airways.
