Greece is "absolutely determined to defending its sovereignty and sovereign rights," and this is the constitutional obligation of the Armed Forces and of every Greek, National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said on Friday (Dec. 26) during a visit of military facilities on Samos island on the occasion of the holiday season. Dendias paid a visit to the headquarters of the national guard at and an observation post at Psili Ammos accompanied by the chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff and the chief of the Hellenic Army. The minister clarified that Greece threatens nobody. "Greece has not expressed a revisionist mentality, has not formulated a threat for any of our neighbors. It has not registered any territorial or other demand against another country, and has not furthermore issued a threat of war against anyone," he said. During his visit to Samos, Dendias also paid a visit to deputy and cardiology professor at the Athens University, Christodoulos Stefanadis. Present at the visit were the chief of the Supreme Military Administration of the Aegean and East Mediterranean, the chief of the national guard unit, the deputy regional governor, the mayor of eastern Samos, the deputy mayor of western Samos and the president of the community of Ydroussa.
