ISLAMABAD: Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Kohlu District of Balochistan on reports of the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations. During the operation, which was conducted on December 25, security forces effectively engaged the militants’ hideout. Following an exchange of fire, five Indian-sponsored militants were killed. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the site. The militants were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area. ISPR stated that sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the elimination of any remaining militants in the region. It reaffirmed that the country’s counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. The statement emphasized the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
