The Government has 12 months to remove obstacles to building houses and the services that are needed to support them. A deadline of the end of 2026 is the only thing that might focus people’s minds about eliminating problems that have been decades in the making and allowed to fester for the last 10 years, whether in infrastructure, planning and housing delivery.
