"A humanitarian convoy carrying 30 tonnes of aid entered the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing on Saturday as part of 'Operation Gallant Knight 3', provided by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation. Footage shows workers preparing the aid for onward transport, as well as trucks loaded with boxes bearing the message: ‘Food Aid Initiative for Children in Gaza’. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the shipment includes “therapeutic and preventive products to address malnutrition, approved by international organisations, foremost among them UNICEF”. The supplies are said to include natural nutritional compounds fortified with essential vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. The agency said the aid was “designated to support the most affected groups within the Gaza Strip,” adding that it is expected to benefit around 20,000 children and women, helping to improve recovery prospects and reduce health risks linked to malnutrition. The United Arab Emirates launched Operation Gallant Knight 3 in May, 2023, following directives from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza after the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7."
